Aster Tango Beta:  How to Select a Repository

Aster Tango Beta allows you to connect to multiple repositories.  A repository is a database that contains 5 tables that allow you to store metadata and scripts.  If you want to learn more about Aster Tango Repositories please read the following:  Aster Tango Beta Repository DDL Explanation.  You can have as many repositories as you want but you must have the following:

 

Requirements:

 

REQ 1:  Access credentials to the repository:  Database, UserId, and Password.  STEP 2: of Installing Aster Tango Beta

REQ 2:  Install the Aster ODBC Drivers on the machine using Aster Tango Beta. STEP 1:  of Installing Aster Tango Beta

REQ 3:  You must define an ODBC Data Source Name:  Please read:  STEP 3 of Installing Aster Tango Beta.

 

How to connect to your repository in the Aster Tango Beta Repository:


STEP 1:  Click "Repository Conection" button to initiate the connection process.


STEP 2:  Enter connection metadata.  Database, UserID, Password, and an ODBC DSN


STEP 3:  Click "Connect" button.
