Most of the time you're using the Aster Community you're going to spend connecting to other people. You'll be reviewing their content, creating content of your own and collaborating together. Also, the Community is a way to make important new connections and to stay up-to-date. We have members who have been participating in this Community since its inception. And many, like you, who are just jumping in.

Note: Your avatar will appear next to your comments and contributions in the community. Your larger photo will appear on the hoover card that appears whenever someone rolls over your name in the community and on your profile page. You will find it easy to create an effective your profile and become an active participant in the community.

Can I change my Username?
Not at this time.

Send an email to "email@example.com."
If you are inactive from more than 1 year, your account will automatically be deactivated.
For deactivated accounts, you will need to send an email to "firstname.lastname@example.org."
How can I change my email address?
Note: If you are planning to join the Aster Customer Zone, please use your business email account so you can be verified and found by other colleagues in the community.
Do I have to register to use Aster Community?
Anyone can read messages in public spaces, but you must be a member of the Aster Customer Zone to start a discussion, write a document, upload a file, write a blog post, create a poll, create an idea, create a video, and much more. Also, once you register, you will find "Ask and Answer" quick links to ask and answer questions about Aster Express.
I'm a customer. How do I join Aster Customer Zone?
Note: The moderator of this group must approve membership or invite you before you can view group content or participate. The Aster Customer Zone is a private group that can be accessed only by current Aster customers and selected Teradata experts in Sales, Support, Services, Product and Marketing groups.

How do I change the Community language?
To change the language, you can edit you language preferences.
Is the Getting Started FAQ available in other languages?
Not at this time.
What about external documentation?
You can provide a link to the specific document section or page. But also provide a substantive quote from the document section being referenced. Remember that users who come to your posts in the future may no longer be able to access a link if it has broken, so the quote will help "future proof" the discussion.
How do I get help downloading Aster Express?
On the "Download Aster" page you will find an "Ask Download Aster Express" widget.
How do I find and follow others in the Community?
Now any time that person starts a discussion, posts and update, or uploads a document to the Aster Community, you will know about it because you will get a notice in your inbox.
Note: If the person's updates are not critical in your day to day job, you can choose to follow them in you "Connections Stream." This stream provides a constant flow of communications from all the people you follow. Whenever they post an update it will appear in your "Connections Stream."
